OMG NEW CATEGORY SO EXCITING.
YAy.
Finally I dont feel wierd about putting toolshaded dolls on other people's bases up here :)

So yes, muse/site mascot in masquerade clothes for a contest. I really like her a lot. I actually got rid of some detail, she was too cluttered.

Daily DeviationMasquerade.muse.doll by ~Bitterkawaii -From our new Dolls section, probably for the very first time on dA we have a gorgeous example of a Tool Shaded Doll on an adopted base being awarded a DD. This is a truly exquisite example of gown design and presentation. (Featured by `ShoneGold)

Ohmigackt...so pretty...
So this is gorgeous!

It is really quite breathtakingly beautiful...You lay the pixels by hand and then go over them with a burn tool to alter the shades?

I am really quite blissfully ignorant about Tool Shading as may well be many people. I just put it in Photoshop and I am not sure what I should be looking for to identify how to tell it is Tool Shaded.

You have so many beautiful dolls in your gallery please tell me if I can help you by doing a mass move over to the new section.

My technique is using PSP 7, and I use different ones for doing skin and doing everything else.
For skin I pixel shade, and then lighten/darken and smudge. But for hair and clothes/everything else, I just use the retouch to lighten/darken, and then smudge it into folds and things, without pixel shading at all.
Sometimes its quite hard to tell whether things are tooled or pixel shaded, but my advice would be to look for smoothness of shading and a lack of different hues within the shading. If you can tell they've smudged anything, its tooled.

omgosh I'd love it if you could help me move all my dolls!

If you tell which one is baseless then I will move it for you which will create a category in your regular submissions folder. This will enable you to just edit and move things across.

Also some of your earlier deviations appear to have missing files.
